The Russian literary journal, Kontinent, has published lengthy excerpts from a comprehensive analysis of the Russian-Georgian war of August 2008 by Andrey Illarionov, director of the Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA).
The first part of the full analysis contains a detailed chronology of the geopolitical history of the Caucasus, including Russia’s relations with Georgia as well as Georgia’s relations with Ossetia and Abkhazia.
The second part of the report contains extensive documentary material and a full analysis of the Russian-Georgian war of 2008. IEA and Kontinent are preparing to publish Mr Illarionov’s analysis as a book.
