Andrey Nekrasov’s “Russian Lessons”

Russian film maker Andrey Nekrasov’s latest documentary film, “Uroki russkogo” (Russian Lessons), will be screened at St Petersburg’s Zelenaya Lampa (Green Lamp) press club on 11 September 2009.

The film is a journey on both sides of the Russian-Georgian conflict in August 2008. The authors present unique shots and evidence of events during the conflict, keeping clear of propaganda and prejudice.

Director Andrey Nekrasov, Andrey Illarionov, president of the Institute of Economic Analysis, Olga Kurnosova, chair of the St Petersburg branch of the United Civic Front, and others will discuss the film.

The film will be screened at Moscow’s Sakharov Center on 13 September 2009. The film’s co-author, Olga Konskaya, passed away in Moscow on 28 May 2009 after a long illness at the age of 45.
