Attempt to kidnap Limonov’s son

A group of three people tried to kidnap Bogdan Limonov, the 1.5 year old son of Eduard Limonov, leader of the banned National Bolshevik Party (NBP), in Moscow on 2 May 2008. The attempt took place in a park where Limonov’s mother was looking after the baby.

When the boy’s grandmother was about to leave the park, the three kidnappers made an attempt to pull the boy out of the pram. Fortunately, onlookers interevened and prevented the crime. The kidnappers only managed to catch the boy’s cap.

The three people — two young men and a girl — had been following Bogdan’s grandmother with the boy in the pram for two days prior to the attempted kidnapping, the NBP’s web site reported today.
