Georgia accuses Russia of downing spy plane

The Georgian Ministry of Defence accuses Russia of shooting down an unmanned plane over Abkhazia. David Nairashvili, head of Georgia’s air defence forces, said the Georgian spy plane was shot down by a Russian MiG-29.

Georgia’s Minister for Reintegration, Temur Yakobashvili, warned that Georgian forces can retake Abkhazia in three hours. He reiterated, however, that Tbilisi does not intend to resolve the conflict with Abkhazia by military means. .
