Ingushetia: voters boycotted elections

People in the North-Caucasian republic of Ingushetia expressed their no-confidence in the republican leadership by refusing to take part in the elections to the State Duma, reported.

Polling stations were empty, and republican TV had to call on police to gather enough voters to show that at least somebody did take part in the elections.

The republican leadership had, however, already prepared falsified election results, according to which President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia would get 89-97% of votes. .
