Limonov: Russia has to occupy Abkhazia

The Russian leadership of has made a tragic mistake, says Eduard Limonov, leader of the National Bolshevik Party in a statement on the conflict in South Ossetia. Russia should have brought its forces to South Ossetia in peace long before Georgians entered in force.

In Limonov’s words, Russia now has only one option: to bring its forces to Abkhazia immediately as a preventive measure. At the same time, Russia needs to allow North-Ossetian and Cossack volunteers to join the battle against Georgian forces in South Ossetia.

This is the only way for Russia to save face and maintain its superpower status, Limonov declares.

  1. Näyttääkö Limonov tässä todellisen karvansa? Hän tuntuu kannattavan isovenäläistä imperialismia…

  2. Abkhazian and Ossetians people says that they want to live in Russia, not in Georgia or to be independent. Georgian president makes genocide for not-georgian nations. And our war in this region is not occupation, it is war for Russian citizens, because many South-Ossetians has the Russian citizenship. And it is not “isovenäläistä imperialismia”.
