The loyal and the disloyal

The ruling regime in Moscow has divided the nation to those loyal to its policies and those who dissent against the regime. Today, opposition movements all across Russia organised rallies and meetings to denounce the policies of prime minister Vladimir Putin’s government in response to the severe economic crisis in Russia.

In Moscow, police arrested dozens of opposition demonstrators, including Eduard Limonov, one of the leaders of the Other Russia coalition. At the same time, around 5,000 supporters of Putin’s United Russia party held a meeting in the centre of Moscow to back the government’s anti-crisis programme.
