A Latvian court has dropped all charges on one of the leaders of Russia’s National Bolshevik Party (NBP), member of the united opposition’s parallel parliament, the National Assembly, Vladimir Abel (Linderman). Sobkorr.ru reports that he was released in the afternoon.
Linderman was arrested by the FSB in Moscow on 28 February 2008. In March, the FSB extradited him to Latvia. He was immediately charged on accusations that six years earlier, he had taken part in an action aimed at toppling the Latvian government.
