Widespread election fraud in Mari El

There was widespread falsification of the presidential elections on 2 December 2007 in Russia’s Republic of Mari El. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) has received official protocols, which show that ballot stuffing in favour of Dmitry Medvedev was massive at 22 polling stations throughout Mari El. KPRF deputy Vadim Solovyev has asked the head of the Central Election Commission, Vladimir Churov, to annul the election results at the polling stations in question.
