Yavlinsky to enter Putin’s government?

Grigory Yavlinsky, leader of Russia’s liberal opposition party, Yabloko, may take a post in the new government of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. There are reports that Yavlinsky discussed his role in the new power structure in a meeting with Putin on 11 March 2008. Yavlinsky told Kommersant and Izvestia that he is thinking about Putin’s proposal. Putin reportedly offered Yavlinsky a leading position in a state institution on ecological problems, possibly a ministry.
